AN ISLAND will go under the hammer at the latest Sutton Kersh property auction in Liverpool.
The island is located in the Menai Strait and has "outstanding" views of the Welsh coastline. The freehold interest is on offer at a guide price of £140,000-plus.
The auction will take place at the city centre Marriott Hotel in Queen Square on Thursday, December 6.
This is the final auction of the year for the firm during which it has sold 395 properties, generating receipts of almost £26m.
Auction manager Cathy Holt said: "The auction market has really picked up this year and we have seen a significant improvement in the quality of lots being offered, bidding levels and sales figures.
"Competitive bidding has returned to the auction room and which is a positive sign for the market.
"It has been an excellent year for Sutton Kersh Auctions topped off by our 10th anniversary sale in October."
