Merseyside e-learning firm in deal with Coca Cola

A WIRRAL e-learning provider has struck a deal with global soft drink giant Coca Cola to deliver two online training course.

CPLe-learning, a division of Birkenhead-based CPL Training, is rolling out its Perfect Serve and Perfect Mix online training programmes across the UK on behalf of Coca-Cola Enterprises.

Staff in pubs, clubs and bars where the soft drink is sold will learn the correct way to pour and mix the drink and about the daily maintenance of equipment.

They will also be taught the importance of soft drink visibility on the premises.

David Dasher, managing director of CPLe-learning said: “As one of the most established suppliers it’s easy to understand why a company such as Coca-Cola Enterprises is keen to ensure its product is served correctly.

“It understands how to make the most of its range of soft drinks and the equipment used to serve them.  It’s very important to equip those serving its drinks with the same essential knowledge and information.”

Key team members from CPLe-learning have worked closely with staff from Coca-Cola Enterprises during a three month development period for each programme.

Lasting approximately 15 minutes each, various multimedia tools are used to create the online training courses including graphics, animation and film.

As part of the course, an avatar character, wearing a Coca-Cola uniform, guides users through the course re-enacting real life scenarios that emulate a typical bar setting.

To date, Coca-Cola Enterprises has delivered its e-learning courses to more than 500 sites and over 7,000 people have sat and completed the courses during flexible hours, both in the workplace and at home.
