WEST Lancashire-based building firm, Construction Partnership UK (CPUK), has won a £1.5m contract to build a medical centre in Preston.
CPUK is on site at the former DVLA building in Cottam Lane, Ashton, building the health centre for the Park Medical Group, a team of Preston-based GPs currently working out of Ashton Health Centre, in Pedders Lane.
The construction work will include a GP surgery, pharmacy, a minor operations room and training facilities for medical student doctors, foundation year doctors and GP registrars.
The three-storey building has been designed by the Frank Whittle Partnership, the Lancashire-based architects.
