LJMU in property collaboration with Russian university

A LIVERPOOL university is developing a post-graduate programme in property management in collaboration with another university in Russia.

Liverpool John Moores University’s School of the Built Environment is working with the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography on the project.

A spokeswoman for LJMU said: “Although in its early stages, it is hoped that this will develop into a partnership that is mutually beneficial to both partner universities and therefore Merseyside as the school partners with many industry leaders in the local area and nationally.”

Vladimir Golubev, dean of the Faculty of Land Economics and Management, and Irina Fartukova, vice-dean in the same faculty, recently visited Liverpool to agree the programme content and structure.

During their stay, they also visited the Astrophysics Institute, where Professor Mike Bode organised a tour of the facilities. This was especially interesting to the visitors as their University trains Russian cosmonauts how to prepare maps.
