Sutton Kersh will offer 64 lots at its next Liverpool property auction

SUTTON KERSH will offer 64 properties at its first Liverpool property auction of the year on February 17.

The event will take place at the Liverpool city centre Marriott Hotel, in Queen Square.

Pre-auction activity has been high with eight properties sold prior and more offers on other properties being considered.

The auction will start with bidding for Woolton Wood Lodge, a Grade II-listed building in High Street in Woolton Village.

Pre-auction interest has been high for the two-bedroom property that will be offered with vacant possession and carries a guide price of £165,000-plus.

A portfolio of properties in a popular student area in Wavertree will also go under the hammer.

With high tenant demand for rental property in the city and a shortage of stock, the properties that include 10 Southdale Road, 92 Lawrence Road, 100 Grosvenor Road and 10 Albert Grove – all to be offered with vacant possession – are expected to generate competitive bidding wars among investors.

Cathy Holt, auction manager at Sutton Kersh, said: “Pre-auction activity is the highest we have experienced for a long time.

“There has been a lot of positive news surrounding the Liverpool property market over recent weeks, and this has filtered confidence back into the investor market.

“Vacant residential properties are proving to be particularly attractive as the sales market shows signs of recovery.”
