A SHUTTLE bus service provided by a business park is to be expanded following a surge in people using it.
Lingley Mere Business Park, in Warrington, has seen a 42% increase in take-up in the past 12 months.
United Utilities and Muse Developments – joint venture partners at the park – will carry out a full review of the current shuttle bus service, which has now reached full capacity.
The free service, which operates between Warrington Town Centre and Lingley Mere, was launched in October, 2007, and offers seven pick-ups per day.
Robin Uttley, head of commercial property at United Utilities Property Services, said: “It’s our goal to reduce single-occupancy car use to, from and around Lingley Mere Business Park.”
