Where would we be without our jeans? Emma Pinch finds out what’s in store in denim this spring/summer

THERE’S a palpable 80s vibe going on with jeans and denim jackets at the moment.
Some are distressed and ridden with rips and holes, others in jewel-like blue or, horror of horrors, stonewashed.

Mercifully, it’s not a total about-face to the crazy days of Bros and Carol Decker.
After a brief flirtation with high waists and baggy styles, even as the 80s puts its sticky fingers all over our favourite gear, we’re still in love with the lean-legged silhouette.
Which means we can still team it with elegant shoes and dress it up or down.
