THE Daily Post’s Mersey Ferries competition brilliantly demonstrates the ability of online photo sharing galleries like Flickr to define a city like Liverpool.
But the online gallery also gives a privileged insight into individual lives.
This week’s selection of shots shows off both elements.
Former picture editors Richard Williams and Eddie Barford have now chosen their favourite three shots in our Mersey Ferries Competition.
But they refused to give too much away at this stage.
Richard said: “Eddie and I were hugely impressed by the quality of entry and it was great fun looking at the wide variety of images.
“Flickr and Daily Post sites are a fantastic way for photographers to showcase and share their pictures.”
Their selections have now been sent to Cllr Mark Dowd, chair of Merseytravel and company chief executive Neil Scales, to pick an outright winner.
