Fashion: Floral prints make for a summer of flower power

FLORAL prints are as summery and perennial as rain at Wimbledon. But this year bold colours are hotting up the vicar’s wife’s pattern of choice, and pattern-wise it’s not just the modest sprigs of the 40s tea dresses that are revisited.

Eye-catching designs from the 50s, 60s and 70s are dusted off and added to T-shirts, too, and perfect for day or night. Harness the power of flower!

* THE location for this week’s shoot was Gusto, the stylish Italian restaurant in Liverpool’s Albert Dock.

Over-looking the Tate gallery and the waterfront, and serving up freshly made Mediterranean dishes, it’s the perfect stop for a cocktail, lunch or dinner.
