The new Wirral Mayoress knows about style. Emma Pinch reports.
EVERY woman needs a wardrobe with an outfit for every occasion. And that goes double if you’re a Lady Mayoress – because you’re invited to every occasion.
As wife of Wirral Lord Mayor Andrew Hodson, Kathryn Hodson has a bulging diary of openings, fetes, dinners, meetings and charity and civic functions every week, and she always makes an effort to look good.
Bromborough-born Kathryn’s wardrobe is packed with outfits ranging from full-on glamour – eye-catching but modest – to pretty dresses with jackets for daytime events.
Kathryn’s most striking outfits are reserved for her fund-raising charity balls. During her year as Mayoress, she has chosen three charities, Claire House, Wirral Society for the Blind and Partially Sighted and Wirral RNLI – and a red, one-shoulder, full-length evening dress with gloves fits the bill perfectly.
For ticket details of her charities’ fundraising events, contact the Lord Mayor’s Parlour on 0151 691 8527.
All of the dresses Kathryn has chosen were bought from her favourite shop, Natallia’s Boutique at Brides, by Tina Louise.
THIS week’s photo shoot took place at Wallasey Town Hall. This magnificent, renaissance-style building, built to face the river, was opened in 1916.
Now some of its most splendid rooms are available to rent for business or entertainment functions. Call 0151 691 8272 for details.
