Wallis have combined hard-wearing leather with delicate sequins for the new collection. Emma Pinch looks at what’s on offer
STRICTLY leather is the key look from Wallis for their autumn/ winter season.
Leather gloves, jackets and PVC trousers are staples of the new collection, together with lashings of sequins that show disco isn’t budging from our wardrobes.
Bold graphic prints in a palette of black, white and taupe are dramatically contrasted against a shot of citrus lime.
The strong shoulder remains important and they say the “must-have” item is the oversized dogtooth coat – wear with a neon lime blouse to update any wardrobe. Completing the look and adding texture are strong stud details on accessories.
Slim leather trousers and capes reference a folklorish theme, while perennial winter favourite, fake fur, adds a whiff of old-fashioned Hollywood.
