As the big Christmas bargain bonanza gets under way, Emma Johnson picks out some of the best high street discounts
THEY used to be called the January sales, then they moved to Boxing Day. Now many stores are dropping their prices before you have even finished your Christmas shopping.
Here are our picks of the sales and some brilliant bargains:
Vivienne Westwood, 8 Mathew Street. Sale starts Boxing Day with up to 50% off. Bargains include her fabulous winter tartan bag now £216.30 from £309, Melissa Bow Lady dragon shoes now £58.80 from £84 and the Piccolo pirate boots which are now £299.40 from £499.
Jaeger, 11 Peters Arcade, Liverpool One. Sale starts 9am Boxing Day. Bargains include a women’s salt and pepper jacket with leather belt, was £250 now £125, and matching skirt, was £160 now £80. A men’s lilac pinstripe suit is now just £199 from £400.
Oasis 29 South John Street, Liverpool One. Sale starts 9am Boxing Day. Bargains include this beautiful navy blue pleat shantung shift dress now just £30 from £75 and Linda wash cherry jeans, £21 from £45.
Boudoir Boutique, Cavern Walks. Sale starts Boxing Day. There will be up to 40% off selected items by Pinko, Megan Fabulous and vintage Dior.
French Connection, Lord Street, Liverpool. Sale is on now. Bargains include a blue sparkly dress now half price at £90, a clutch bag now £22 from £50 and a white tuxedo jacket now £75 from £150. In menswear, you can find a lumberjack shirt, was £250 now £125 and a chunky cardigan now reduced to £35 from £70.
Warehouse, South John Street, Liverpool One. Sale is on now. Bargains include a boyfriend jacket, was £90 now £50and a stylish tweed Crombie coat now £50 from £100.
Ted Baker, Peters Arcade, Liverpool One. Sale starts Boxing Day with up to 50% off.
Cricket, Cavern Walks. Sale begins 9am, Monday, December 28, with discounts on selected lines.
Next, Church Street. Sale starts 7am Boxing Day. Expect at least 50% off everything in store.
Debenhams, Liverpool One. Sale starts 7am Boxing Day with discounts across the store.
