Stephen Done

Stephen Done is the author of the Inspector Vignoles Mystery books.

He was born on 3rd August 1960.

On his eighth birthday, whilst living in Scarborough, he declared that he wished to become a steam engine driver, only to be advised that British Railways was scrapping steam the very next day. So he took up writing about them instead.

A museum curator, he has worked at the Bristol Industrial Museum, Cyfarthfa Castle Museum and has been curator of the Liverpool Football Club Museum since 1997.

He is a keen birdwatcher and railway modeller and often enjoys a pint of real English ale.
