FORMBY talent in front and behind the camera lens has gone on dis-play in an exhibition in Manchester.
Photographer and owner of Atlanta Swim Centres in Formby, Gail Rickett has had her snaps displayed in the city's Triangle shopping centre, with local man Adam Corlett as her star subject.
Adam, 19, who lives in Wicks Lane, was asked to model for Gail's pictures after she saw him working at JJB Fitness Centre in Southport.
Gail said: "I asked him if he would like to do some shots on the beach at Formby and he was interested in seeing too how they worked out.
"A few weeks later the Triangle asked for some new shots, so I sent in three photographs of Adam, along with Metallica who I had recently shot at The Down-load Festival."
Gail first became interested in photography on reaching her 30th birthday when she decided to do a degree and eventually specialised in the subject.
She has since worked for film magazines and the BBC and has photo-graphed several international stars including Mick Jagger, Elton John and Macy Gray, with the results being included at an ongoing exhibition of her work at The Triangle.
The shot of Adam has taken its place in the 'model' section of the exhibition alongside bands like Metallica in her 'music' section..
Adam said: "It was quite flattering being asked to pose for the photographs and I am pleased she asked me, the photographs were very good.
"I'm not really looking for a career in modelling but if I had the chance to do something like this again I would, it was a nice experience."
