There's no way the Babes are going to split ...

RIFTS, rows and bitter rivalry. . . Sugababe Heidi Range has heard all the gossip and speculation.

In fact, since the band disappeared from the charts more than 12 months ago, she's heard little else.

But now they're back with a new single about to be released on Monday and, she insists, the three girls are so fed up of rumours about their supposed break-ups they're past caring.

"You know what?" shrugs Heidi, "at first it would make us angry, then we'd laugh it off and now we don't even pay any attention to it. The tabloids have been saying we're about to split since I joined the band four years ago and I've no idea where it all comes from.

"Even when we were writing our new album, they were saying we were going to be releasing a greatest hits album and that would be our last. We were actually sitting in the studio together, looking at each other thinking, 'here we are'."

Push The Button, the first release from their upcoming third album, is proof positive of that.

Heidi's trying not to get too carried away, but she reveals that pre-orders are already ahead of any of their chart competitors.

So the omens are good for a fourth No. 1, ranking alongside their previous hits Freak Like Me, Round Round and Hole In The Head.

After such success and two back-to-back triple platinum selling albums, the Aintree-born 22-year-old could be forgiven for getting a little complacent.

But she maintains that she's just as nervous as she was with their very first single.
