Emma Johnson meets the X-Factor finalist who has his sights set firmly on global domination

"She is cool about it," Ray adds. "She is really excited about it and really proud of me. She always has been."
As for the pop star lifestyle, Ray says it is everything he expected and more, although he claims he hasn't really had chance to live it up.
So far it has all been work, work, work and, while he may drive a Cadillac in his new video, back home in Liverpool his mode of transport is still his trusty Fiesta. He did get "papped" shopping on Rodeo Drive, though.
As for the future, Ray has it all mapped out and wants to emulate his heroes like Frank Sinatra and Robbie Williams.
"I just want to be successful and big and known for being good at what I do to be respected and loved around the world. I would love to be a world-selling artist ... that would be amazing."
- RAY'S debut album, Ray Quinn, is out on March 12, and he plays the Liverpool Empire on Oct 25.
