Comic returns to his first love

HE’S just finished a run of his latest play at the Empire, but Irish stand-up Brendan O’Carroll returns to his first love of one-man comedy with some new stand-up dates that are sure to be a sell-out.

O'Carroll, best known as his anarchic character Mrs Brown (who has just finished her show The Last Wedding in the city), will be performing his stand-up comedy show, How's Your Wobbly Bits? at Royal Court Liverpool on May 14, 15 and 16.

It will feature Mrs Brown, cynical auld so-and-so Charlie Smart and of course, O’Carroll as himself.

The show will contain strong language and is intended for adults only. O’Carroll is a prolific funnyman, having written six novels, four screenplays and seven plays (which he also directs and stars in) – but stand-up comedy was his first love.

Audiences are advised to book early as all three dates are expected to sell out.
