A CHARITY art auction of the work of north west painter Stephen Collett is being held at 62 Castle Street hotel.
All profits from the sale of the nine-painting collection will be donated to the Painting Project in Rio, the Bedford Road Community Centre, Age Concern and Macmillan Cancer Research.
Three additional paintings, all depicting Liverpool, have been created specifically for the exhibition.
All are currently available to view at the Dot-art gallery, Castle Street, and online at www.dotart.co.uk/ cities.php
The Cities series was developed by Collett in 2008 as a response to Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture. It was exhibited in three locations in 2008 and was viewed by more than 10,000 people.
He said: "I wanted these pieces to be recognisable as cities from a distance, yet up close they were slightly abstract and very impressionistic."
