AN EXHIBITION of work by artists shortlisted for the Liverpool Art Prize was launched last night.
More than 80 nominations were whittled down to six by a judging panel including the Wirral-based internationally renowned Singh Twins, Alex Corina and 2008 winner Imogen Stidworthy.
They are John Moores prize winner Terry Duffy, photo-graphic collaboration McCoy Wynne, Bluecoat Studios-based Nicki McCubbing, painter Richard Meaghan, sculptor Elizabeth Willow and Al and Al, who exhibi-ted at FACT last year.
An overall winner will be chosen for a main cash prize of £2,000, awarded by the judging panel, with a further £1,000 prize chosen by the public in the People’s Choice award category.
The winners will be announced on April 22.
The exhibition run by Art in Liverpool at Novas Contemporary Urban Centre, Liverpool, runs until May 4.
