Steve Steinman in Vampires Rock _220
Bat the Symphony took him four years to put together, with a bill that includes Paradise By The Dash Board Light, Anything for Love, Bat Out Of Hell, Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth, and Dead Ringer For Love.
“You don’t necessarily have to be a rock music fan to like what we’re doing – you just have to enjoy music,” explains Steve.
“The songs are just big bombastic things and they’re quite funny as well some of them. Some of the lyrics are hilarious and you can actually act some of them out.
Originally performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, this year’s tour features the National Concert Orchestra of Great Britain, formed in 2007 by the composer Greg Francis.
“The way we tour is like a rock and roll circus and the way they tour is like China cups and tea,” laughs Steve.
“It’s like two different worlds colliding but when you get on stage it really works.”
BAT the Symphony is at the Liverpool Empire Theatre on Sunday, April 12. Further details at www.batoutofhellthesymphony.com
