THEMES of nature, space and evolution are the inspiration for an exhibition by a local mosaic artist.
To Infinity and Beyond, which has opened at the Novas Contemporary Urban Centre, is a showcase of tiled art works by Debbie Ryan.
Her mosaics draw on images from the natural world, including lizards, plants and stars.
It took Ryan several months to make the series, using traditional methods with each tile cut and fitted into place by hand.
Her materials range from tiny bright tiles and broken plates to glass washed up on a beach.
The exhibition is Ryan’s debut solo show, and follows a successful series of group shows throughout the country.
She is best known in Liverpool for designing three mosaic lambananas for last summer’s Superlambanana Parade.
