FOLLOWING the sell-out reception of her critically acclaimed show, The Dark Angel, at London’s legendary Roundhouse Theatre this January and an appearance on Later With Jools, multi-award-winning Irish/French singer Camille O’Sullivan will be performing in Merseyside.
She will present the work of Nick Cave, Jacques Brel, David Bowie, Tom Waits and many others in her own distinctive style.
Born in London to a French mother and Irish father, O’Sullivan grew up in Cork surrounded by the music of the French torch singers.
She followed up her fine art studies with a degree in architecture and won the Architectural Association of Ireland Award in 2000.
While working in Berlin, she visited the city’s cabaret clubs and was drawn to the work of Ute Lemper and Kurt Weill and music as a full-time career.
CAMILLE O’SULLIVAN performs at The Brindley, Runcorn, on Wednesday May 20. Box office: 0151 907 8360.
