Solo show of celebrated local artist Nathan Pendlebury to open at Dot-Art

THE paintings and photographs of celebrated local artist Nathan Pendlebury are the subject of Dot-Art’s first solo show of the year.

Born in Chester in 1973, the artist draws inspiration from the urban environment and was selected to show in the 2007 International Chelsea Fine Art Competition in New York. His creations are usually vibrantly coloured and make everyday images appear unusual.

The show includes an exclusive first look at new abstracts, which Pendlebury created in Merseyside, New York and Italy.

Dot-Art’s Lucy Byrne said: “His accessible, attractive and minimalist style makes his work ideal for modern interiors and a fantastic addition to any home or business.”

Based in Bootle, Pendlebury was last year commissioned by John Lewis, Liverpool, to create a series of paintings for their Espresso Bar.

He often exhibits with his father, Tony, under the name “Erpen”.

The exhibition is at Dot-Art, Queen Avenue, Castle Street, from June 12 to July 17.
