Tate Liverpool hosts live performance festival for one night only

TATE Liverpool is holding a multi-coloured festival of performance art to coincide with its exhibition Colour Chart: Reinventing Colour 1950 to Today.

Produced in partnership with Hope Street Limited, Fool Spectrum will feature an array of interactive activities and live performances held on Thursday, July 2, 6-10pm.

Even the cafe is getting in on the act with an exclusive Fool Spectrum early evening menu, featuring new dishes inspired by the exhibition.

Book a table in advance on 0151 702 7580, quoting “Fool Spectrum”. The colourful theatrics, directed by internationally-renowned street theatre company Cocoloco, will feature over 40 performers including high-profile artists from the UK and Europe.

Local community groups and young people will also be involved.

Colour Chart explores how artists’ use of paint began to change after the mid-20th century, when notions of colour as emotive, spiritual or scientific were replaced by an accessible commercial product.

The exhibition runs until September 13.
