THREE of Alan Bennett’s popular Talking Heads monologues are being performed at Liverpool’s Actors’ Studio this month.
Actress and comedian Pauline Daniels is starring in A Cream Cracker Under the Settee and A Lady of Letters, originally performed by Thora Hird and Patricia Routledge.
Emma Lisi, from Croxteth, is taking on Her Big Chance, which starred Julie Walters in the BBC TV series of Talking Heads.
The 23-year-old says: “The way Bennett writes is brilliant. He’s one of those writers, like Willy Russell, who create brilliant female characters.
“I play Lesley, who is a film extra who ends up being in a porn film but she doesn’t realise it. It’s very funny all the way through but there’s this moment when she seems to realise that she’s being taken advantage of and I feel so sorry for her.”
Talking Heads is at the Seel Street theatre until July 5. Details at www.theliverpoolactorsstudio.com
