* KYLIE MINOGUE is apparently collaborating with Xenomania, the writing duo behind Girls Aloud’s string of hits.
The girl band have racked up 20 consecutive top-10 singles with the help of producers Brian Higgins and Miranda Cooper, and now Kylie is hoping they can work their magic on her new album. Kylie and Xenomania worked on her 2005 single Giving You Up, which reached No 6 in the charts, and she is now hoping they can help her produce a triumphant comeback album to follow up her last record X.
* SCREAMING fans had to be physically held back from Johnny Depp at the LA premiere of his new film Public Enemies.
Extra police and security had to be drafted in to stop crowd barriers from being pushed over as hundreds of screaming fans lined the streets to try and get close to the star.
Johnny handled the surging fans in his stride, carrying on signing autographs regardless as the crowd had to be pushed back, stopping traffic.
Cast-mate Stephen Dorff confessed how he shared the crowd’s appreciation for the film’s leading man.
"He’s incredible, I love JD," the actor told reporters.
* LIAM GALLAGHER is set for his first movie role. The Oasis singer will star alongside 1990s dance DJ Guru Josh in a film version of Kevin Sampson’s 1999 novel Powder.
The DJ’s website said: "Producer-author Kevin Sampson has asked Guru Josh to play in the movie of his best-selling novel Powder. Guru Josh will act as himself alongside co- star Liam Gallagher."
The entry continued: "Is the world ready for Liam Gallagher and Guru Josh together on the silver screen?"
Liam will apparently begin preparations for the film once Oasis have finished touring in August.
