THE image of Liverpool’s most famous sculpture features in one of the works on Dot-art’s latest exhibition.
The Superlambanana is one icon of Capital of Culture year that inspired Sophie Green in her series of vibrant paintings.
Green, who moved to the city at the beginning of 2008, said: “I am influenced by many things – bright colour, shapes and nature.
“Living and working in Liverpool has been a great inspiration for my work.
“There's never a dull moment living in this city.”
Green studied art at Leicester De Montfort University before gaining a degree in graphic design at Derby University. She currently works as a freelance artist, illustrator and designer from her studio in Liverpool city centre.
HER exhibition is open to the public at Dot-art’s gallery, off Castle Street, from Monday, July 27, to Friday, September 4. Admission is free.
