ST HELENS Sinfonietta’s next concert will have a decidedly Gallic flavour.
The French Connection includes five well- known pieces written by four popular French composers.
They are Bizet’s Children’s Games and his only Symphony, Rameau’s Ballet Suite, Messiaen’s Oiseaux and Debussey’s Petite Suite.
Taking place at the town’s United Reform Church on Saturday September 12, the performance will feature clarinet soloist Peter Hill, a member of the orchestra and the Sinfonietta’s wind ensemble HarmonieMusik.
