Meanwhile, the Empire Theatre will be holding backstage tours from 5-9pm.
The programme is being supported by Merseytravel, which is opening up George’s Dock tunnel ventilation building at the Pier Head for free tours throughout the evening.
Chief executive Neil Scales says: “Making major arts institutions, visitor attractions and experiences, including our own Mersey Tunnel tours, more accessible can only be good if we are to continue to find ways to build on the legacy of 2008.”
FACT is hosting four hours of free social games and social experiences, E Chambré Hardman’s Photographic Studio on Rodney Street will be open at night for the first time, and community historian Steve Binns will lead a guided tour between St George’s Hall Water Street.
