ART: Tony Phillips’s, above, Shrine to the 20th Century is the result of the first artist residency at the Victoria Gallery and Museum. The installation incorporates material from the VG&M’s collections with his own paintings, to question many of the technological developments of the last century.Victoria Gallery and Museum, Brownlow Hill, Liverpool, until March 2010.

THEATRE: The musical, Over the Rainbow, tells the story of the legendary artist Eva Cassidy through dramatic scenes and live renditions of her music.
