EXHIBITION: Dave McKean’s stunning illustrations for the Liverpool Reads book, The Savage, above, are on display at the Bluecoat. McKean has worked with best-selling fantasy writer Neil Gaiman and was an artist on the Harry Potter movies.The Bluecoat until October 31.

ART: Arena Studios is holding an open studio event as part of the Liverpool city centre-wide Long Night. Housing 24 artists, it will be open from 3-10pm.
