THEATRE: Lawrence Till’s stage version of Barry Hines’s novel A Kestrel for the Knave splits the balance between moody and moving perfectly. It’s well directed by Nikolai Foster and stars local school kids as well as professional actors. ART: Artist Bridget Riley is the subject of a new exhibition that is touring the UK, starting in Liverpool. Check out your reaction to her visually-distorting paintings and see the studies which reveal the ideas behind them.The Walker until December 13.
