EAST is East’s Kristine Landon-Smith brings The Hot Dots to the Brindley, Runcorn

EAST is East director Kristine Landon-Smith brings the story of two hugely successful vaudeville performers and their spectacular fall from grace to The Brindley.

The Hot Dots follows juggler Frank Johnstone and the ambitious Evie Steele, who meet in 1932.

From the moment she walks into his dressing room, at the beginning of the summer season, sparks fly, and Frank’s world is turned on its head.

They begin performing together, wowing crowds who travel from miles around to see them.

But, as their reputation grows, so does Evie’s thirst for fame, and it isn’t long before the cracks begin to show.

They have to decide what’s more important – love or fame?

The performance, which combines acting, film and acrobatics, is at the Runcorn theatre on Friday, October 23.

FOR tickets £10 (£8 concs), book at www.thebrindley.org.uk or 0151 907 8360.
