NOVAS Contemporary Urban Centre is calling for artists to create a work for the wall of its cafe bar.
The space will feature a new work every three months.
Currently, The Wall is taken up by giant Russian dolls painted by Bristol-based street artist Rich T, who has moved away from his spray-can roots to use working emulsion and brushes.
He says: “I’m really happy with the detail in this piece, as well as the colour scheme.
“There’s not a massive street art scene in Liverpool, which means there is lots of empty wallspace, so I would love to come back and work in the city again.”
Although Rich T’s piece only covers the back wall of the cafe, the new works could use greater wall space as well as the building’s original iron pillars.
TO SUBMIT a proposal, fill in the entry form on the CUC’S website at http:// www.contemporaryurbancentre.org/
RichT’s work will be displayed until December 31, when the winning artist will begin their work.
