THEATRE: Spike Milligan’s war memoirs are brought to the stage in the touring production of Adolf Hitler, My Part in His Downfall. Just like the books, it’s a chaotic, capering show with more gags than you can follow. Sholto Morgan makes his professional debut as the great comedian who relied on jazz to get him through World War II.Liverpool Playhouse until Saturday, tickets £9.50-£20.

JAZZ: Inaugural Basement Jazz event, which will be held each Thursday at the Contemporary Urban Centre to showcase local talent. First up is Liverpool-based quartet, Marley Chingus.The Basement, Novas CUC, from 8pm.
