Boogie nights at Tate Liverpool for Magic Mirror Ball event

TATE Liverpool is being transported to the 1970s with a psychedelic event created by and for adults with a learning disability and anyone who loves disco.

Inspired by the silent disco dancefloor gallery space by Wayne Hemingway and his son Jack, the Magic Mirror Ball at tomorrow’s event will also feature art activities and live magic.

Miss Sabs & Our Greg, DJs from Manchester’s famous Frogtastic club nights for people with a learning difficulty, will perform throughout the evening, and Venture Arts will be creating a giant installation in the form of a glittery 3-D mirror ball.

Visitors can drop in throughout the night, decorate their own square and add it to the ball.

Magic Mirror Ball is part of DaDa Fest, Liverpool’s annual festival celebrating the work of disabled artists. Admission to the event, 7-10pm, is £5 from 0151 702 7400. Accessible parking and drop-off points in the Albert Dock.
