A NEW comedy night has been launched at a Liverpool city centre pub.
The Slug and Lettuce, on North John Street, will be offering a strong line-up of leading comics including Reginald D Hunter, Lucy Porter, and the city’s own Keith Carter and Neil Fitzmaurice. Acts for December include Daliso Chaponda, Malawi’s only comedy export, Silky and Tanyalee Davis.
The regular event is being run by the team behind Laughterhouse, at the Slaughterhouse pub on Fenwick Street.
Organiser Paula Harrington says: “We’ve been delighted with the success of the Laughterhouse at the Slaughterhouse but we feel terrible turning people away as we keep selling out.
“We have some of the greatest names on the circuit coming in the New Year and some hilarious acts lined up for our Christmas shows.”
