THE cast for the big budget remake of Beatles film Yellow Submarine has been announced – and only one of the Fab Four is being played by a Scouser.
He is Peter Serafinowicz, a 37-year-old comedian from Gateacre, who is in final negotiations to play Paul McCartney.
The former pupil of St Francis Xavier High, Woolton, well-known for his McCartney impression, is otherwise best known as the voice of Darth Maul, in Star Wars.
The others are Dean Lennox Kelly (John), Cary Elwes (George) and Adam Campbell (Ringo)
