Parkgate’s Artroom gallery launches Carole Graslan’s exhibition Tangible Worlds

A WIRRAL gallery has been taken over by a Gallic theme as a well-respected French artist opens her debut solo show within its walls.

Artroom’s first exhibition of 2010, in Parkgate, Tangible Worlds, showcases the abstract work of Carole Graslan.

Its title comes from an expression used by the artist to describe her inspirations.

She says: “My paintings convey the free expression of my intuitive and emotional side.

“Intuitive paintings open up our imagination where mysterious worlds and life forms can evolve, creating a visual language, posing some sense of mystery and forcing the viewer to construct their own ideas”.

Graslan says her application of materials and techniques are varied.

“My goal is to create reflective and honest work,” she says. “I believe that in the subjective process of painting, I would find my own definition.”

The exhibition runs until February 28.
