However, while Dawn might be pleased as punch with her role, her character faces trouble in the form of beau Danny’s daughter Olivia, who returned to the show last week. “She’s 16, she’s full of attitude and she doesn’t like me very much,” reveals Dawn.
“Alice is very open to Olivia, she’s very pleased that she’s arrived, but then it becomes apparent that they can’t all live under the same roof.”
It all comes to the fore in this latest episode, as Danny and Alice plan to treat themselves to a well-deserved mini-break, but Olivia is upset to discover they’ll be leaving that day.
The youngster is annoyed that she will miss out on a driving lesson and decides to take the Jeep out on her own.
However, when she crashes it, her earlier moodiness means her family don’t believe her when she says it was an accident.
Danny and Alice head off, now with Rowan and Vanessa in tow, while Du Plessis tries to forge a bond with the teenager.
But when the group finally return home, all his hard work goes out the window, and, despite Alice’s attempts to make peace, it becomes clear that she will have to give Olivia some space.
