ROCK legends Status Quo are the latest act to sign up for the Summer Pops.
The festival favourites will play the Echo Arena on Friday, July 9.
Chas Cole, from promoters CMP, said: “I’m delighted my old friends and rocking legends Status Quo are playing the Summer Pops.
“I’ve worked with them on numerous shows over the years and they always put on a great show.”
Founder members Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt were awarded the OBE in the New Year HonoursŠ for their long-standing work for charities including the Prince's Trust, the Heart Foundation and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy.
It came after their performance at Glastonbury last year, and a gig at Aintree for race night.
