UNITY regular Patrick Dineen will perform a mini musical as this weekend’s event in a series of monologues to mark the theatre’s 30th birthday.
Writer of the Hope Place venue’s last Christmas show, The Snow Queen, he will present My Clockwork Heart in the bar at 10pm on Friday and Saturday.
Next week, Jeff Young will share his mangled obituary for those who didn’t make it to 30, a piece called Kurt, Frank River and Sid.
Then, on March 12 and 13, Esther Wilson will perform her poetic exploration on the nature of loneliness in When I Awake.
All pieces are on the theme “turning 30”, to celebrate 30 years of presenting provocative theatre at Hope Place, and mark a return of Unity’s famed foyer monologues. Tickets are not necessary, but space is limited.
