Rathole Radio concert features robot audience member

A ROBOT will be the star audience member of the first Rathole Radio live gig.

Organised by Dan Lynch, who runs the podcast and internet radio show, the concert will feature folk musicians David Rovics and Attila The Stockbroker, who both supported Billy Bragg in Liverpool last year. A range of other musicians will also perform.

Listeners from all over the world will be able to become involved in the gig by controlling the robot.

“Having this robot they can prompt to make noises in the venue will let them give feedback and clap,” says Lynch.

“They'll also be able to vote on the songs I’ll be performing and have an influence over the gig, as people in the actual venue can do, too.”

The concert takes place at Bad Format Social Club, on Trueman Street, in Liverpool City Centre.

Tickets are £5 in advance from http://ratholeradio.org/gig

The show is part of a wider technology, art, culture and politics event. Further details at http://oggcamp.org
