Tiles expert Lynn Pearson is giving talk on Lewis’s mural at National Conservation Centre

LYNN PEARSON, from the Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society, is giving a talk about the forgotten murals of the 1950s and 60s at the National Conservation Centre tomorrow.

The event ties in with Liverpool photographer Stephen King’s exhibition, Lewis’s Fifth Floor: A Department Story, which depicts images of the department store’s “lost” space, closed to the public for 30 years.

It features the cafeteria’s Grade II-listed hand-painted ceramic mural, featuring condiments, utensils, vegetables and cutlery, which will be mentioned in Pearson’s talk.

The event is free to attend – simply turn up.
