Biennial artist Antti Laitinen to row boat up River Mersey

A JAPANESE artist who creates work out of cut paper is completing a residency in Liverpool as part of the Biennial.

Based at A Foundation, on Greenland Street, Sachiko Abe has made a new large- scale drawing for the exhibition.

The show also presents a new filmic collaboration with London-based artist Ben Rivers.

A Foundation’s second Biennial contributor is Antti Laitinen, who works across performance, video and photography in the aim of erasing the boundary between success and failure.

On Saturday, Laitten will be rowing a boat up the River Mersey, leaving New Brighton Life Boat Station at around 8.30am and arriving at Liverpool Marina at around 12pm.
