FRIENDS and artists who worked with John Lennon will come together for the first time in a historic memorial concert to commemorate 30 years since his death.
Mark McGann, The Quarrymen and Merseybeat magazine editor Bill Harry will be among those marking the late Beatle’s life at the Echo Arena in December.
The one-off concert, entitled Lennon Remembered – The 9 Faces of John, will present artists and friends who span his whole life and career from Liverpool to New York.
Also starring will be fellow Hamburg musician Tony Sheridan, former Apple CEO Tony Bramwell, Imagine guitarist Joey Molland and Grammy award-winning sound engineer Dennis Ferrante.
Lennon Remembered director Jon Keats said: “Talks are ongoing with many more of John’s friends and fellow musicians so watch this space as it promises to be a memorable evening.”
