Dodd said: “When I go on stage, I have the time of my life. I am delighted to be taking part in the Literary Lunch to help raise money for this important charity.”

Tickets cost £25 per person and include a three-course lunch, during which the authors will share some of their tales.

Books will also be available to purchase, which the writers are available to sign.

Clarke said: "The time has come for me to tell it like it was, like it is.
