Over the Rainbow contestant Dani Raynor on playing Princess Jasmine in Aladdin at the Liverpool Empire
DANI RAYNER’S dad is more excited than she is about her working alongside Pamela Anderson, she says.
Too young to remember Baywatch herself (“I’ve heard about it”), the 17-year-old former Over the Rainbow contestant says her father was “made up” to hear about her new role.
“I told him about it and he was more excited about the fact that I was going to be in panto with her than that I was in it at all,” she reveals. “But what an idol!”
Rayner, who was still at school when she joined the TV talent show to find a new Dorothy for the West End, is running A-Level studies alongside panto performances.
She plays Aladdin’s true love, Princess Jasmine, in the show.
“I’m looking to move to London next year either to go to drama school or to university,” she says.
“Then I’ll be in London for auditions and hopefully get a job in the West End in the future.”
