COMEDIAN and actor Stephen Merchant is on his way to Liverpool as part of his first-ever stand-up tour.
Stephen Merchant Live: Hello Ladies comes to the Liverpool Empire on October 4.
The 6ft 7in Emmy, BAFTA and Golden Globe award-winning co-creator of The Office and Extras started his career as a stand-up comedian and radio presenter at XFM, where he met Ricky Gervais.
His latest show, An Idiot Abroad, on Sky One, is a live-action travelogue series starring Karl Pilkington, while his own film credits include Tooth Fairy, with Dwayne Johnson, and cameos in Hot Fuzz and Run Fat Boy Run alongside Simon Pegg.
He directed his first feature film Cemetery Junction with Gervais, and he also appears in the forthcoming Hall Pass with Owen Wilson.
Tickets for the Empire show go on sale tomorrow.
