TWISTED Tales scriptwriter Jeremy Dyson will be joined by horror author Ramsey Campbell at a special event tomorrow.
The two writers will each read their macabre takes from 6-7pm at Waterstones, in Liverpool One.
Dyson’s dramatisation of Roald Dahl’s short stories for adults, Twisted Tales, is currently showing at the Liverpool Playhouse.
As well as his achievements on TV, including multi- award-winning League of Gentlemen and Bafta-nominated Funland, and on stage, including Olivier Award-nominated Ghost Stories, he is well known for his collections of dark short stories.
World-renowned horror writer Campbell, who lives in Wirral, is one of Dyson’s favourite authors and influenced his love of scary tales as a boy.
After the reading, there will be a short meet and greet session and book signing at the store.
Those with a ticket for tomorrow’s performance of Twisted Tales can book a place at the Waterstones reading free of charge by presenting their theatre ticket to the store ahead of the event.
Otherwise, tickets – priced £2 – can be purchased from the Liverpool One shop.
